Hello, my name is Wendy Trevor; and I am a Family Celebrant.
I first decided to become a celebrant after attending a wedding ceremony of a close friend. I had just retired from my role as an accountant and was looking for a new venture.
I have always been an outgoing person and enjoy lots of different activities. I have been a member of an amateur dramatics company for 30 years and I love to spend time with my family – 3 children and 9 grandchildren (some in the UK and some in Australia).
After I made the decision to become a celebrant, I enrolled and did my training with Civil Ceremonies Ltd.
Becoming a celebrant has opened my eyes to the different aspects of ceremonies and the part I can play to work closely with individuals or families to understand their wishes, values, and beliefs, tailoring the ceremony script and content to reflect their unique story.
Being a part of someone’s life events is very humbling and a privilege that I will always cherish.
